English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Amr ibn Amir al-Ansari, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: When the muezzin would call the adhan, the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would rush to the pillars of the mosque and pray two rak'ahs before Maghrib, such that a person entering the mosque would think the obligatory prayer had already been performed because of the number of people praying.
