حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَتِيقٍ مَكِّيٍّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ السِّنِينَ وَوَضَعَ الْجَوَائِحَ
English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from Humayd al-A'raj, from Sulayman ibn 'Atiq, a Makkan, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited selling produce for years in advance [before the harvest], and he placed [the liability of] crop disasters [on the seller, i.e., the buyer is compensated if the crop is destroyed].
