حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّث
َنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ فَلَا تُفْسِدُوهَا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِلَّذِي أُعْمِرَهَا حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا وَلِعَقِبِهِ

English Translation
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hold on to your wealth and do not ruin it [by giving it away irrevocably]. For whoever gives something as 'umra [a lifetime gift], it belongs to the one it was given to, living or dead, and to his descendants.'
