Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ
اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنُصِيبُ مِنْ الْبُسْرِ وَمِنْ كَذَا فَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيُحْرِثْهَا أَخَاهُ وَإِلَّا فَلْيَدَعْهَا

English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: We used to engage in mukhabarah [sharecropping] during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, receiving a share of the unripe dates and the like. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or let his brother cultivate it. And let him not rent it out.'
