حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّح

ْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا مَيْتَةً لَهُ بِهَا أَجْرٌ وَمَا أَكَلَتْ مِنْهُ الْعَافِيَةُ فَلَهُ بِهِ أَجْرٌ

English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Ansari informed me, he said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever revives dead land, it belongs to him. And whatever wild creatures eat from it, it is counted as charity for him.'
