Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَجْتَنِي
الْكَبَاثَ فَقَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَسْوَدِ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَطْيَبُهُ قَالَ قُلْنَا وَكُنْتَ تَرْعَى الْغَنَمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَهَلْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ رَعَاهَا

English Translation
'Uthman ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), who said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ picking kabath (fruit of the arak tree). He said: 'Choose the black ones, for they are the best.' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, did you used to tend sheep?' He said: 'Is there any prophet who has not tended sheep?'"
