حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا عِنْدَ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ would not raise his hands in any supplication except during the prayer for rain (istisqa'), until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.
