English Translation
Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Sulayman ibn Qays, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The people of Madinah will abandon it while it is at its most fruitful and ripe (murtibah). No one will remain in it except wild animals and birds. The last to be gathered (on the Day of Resurrection) will be two shepherds from Muzaynah heading towards Madinah, driving their sheep. They will find it deserted, and when they reach Thaniyyat al-Wada', they will fall on their faces.'"
