English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Hamzah al-Dabbi say: I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) say: I never prayed behind anyone lighter in prayer — meaning briefer yet complete — than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Yet if he heard a child crying, he would lighten the prayer for fear that the child's mother would be distressed.
