حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامًا نَظَّارًا مَا انْطَلَقَ لِلْقِتَالِ قَالَ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ فَجَاءَ
تْ أُمُّهُ عَمَّتِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ مَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: Harithah, my cousin, set out on the day of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a young onlooker — he had not gone out to fight. An arrow struck him and killed him. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me about Harithah. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, I will weep bitterly for him.' He said: 'O Umm Harithah, it is gardens upon gardens in Paradise, and your son has attained al-Firdaws al-A'la (the highest Paradise).'
