حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَنَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَ
نْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ يَقُولُ رَبُّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا تَلَقَّانِي عَبْدِي شِبْرًا تَلَقَّيْتُهُ ذِرَاعًا وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي ذِرَاعًا تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بَاعًا وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي يَمْشِي تَلَقَّيْتُهُ أُهَرْوِلُ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Ibrahim Abu Isma'il al-Qannad narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who narrated from his Lord (عز وجل), who said: 'Your Lord (عز وجل) says: When My servant comes closer to Me by a handspan, I come closer to him by an arm's length. When he comes closer to Me by an arm's length, I come closer to him by a fathom. And when he comes to Me walking, I come to him running.'
