حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ حَارِثَةُ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ حَارِ

ثَةَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ ابْنِي أَصَابَ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِلَّا أَجْهَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْبُكَاءِ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فِي جَنَّةٍ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الْأَعْلَى

English Translation

Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: Harithah was struck on the day of Badr. His mother, Umm Harithah, said: 'O Prophet of Allah, if my son has attained Paradise, then I will be patient. Otherwise, I will exert myself in weeping for him.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Umm Harithah, it is gardens in Paradise, and your son has attained al-Firdaws al-A'la.'
