قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ سَرِيعًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَرَأَى مَا فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ تَعَاجُبِهِمْ وَلُبِسَ عَلَيْهِ
قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ وَأَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ تِبْرًا عِنْدَنَا فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ يُمْسِيَ أَوْ يَبِيتَ عِنْدَنَا فَأَمَرْتُ بِقِسْمَتِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

English Translation
Rawḥ narrated to us, ʿUmar ibn Saʿīd ibn Abī Ḥusayn narrated to us, ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Mulaykah narrated to me, from ʿUqbah ibn al-Ḥārith who said: I prayed ʿAṣr with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. When he gave salām, he stood quickly and went to one of his wives, then came out. He saw the wonderment on the people's faces and it troubled him. He said: 'I remembered during the prayer some gold we had, and I disliked that it should remain with us until evening — or overnight — so I ordered it to be distributed.' Abū Aḥmad al-Zubayrī narrated to us, ʿUmar ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Mulaykah, from ʿUqbah ibn al-Ḥārith who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ departed after praying ʿAṣr — and he mentioned the same meaning.
