‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏بَهْزٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏شُعْبَةُ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏رَجُلٍ ‏ ‏جَدُّهُ ‏ ‏أَوْسُ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْسٍ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏يُصَلِّي وَيُومِئُ إِلَى نَعْلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْخُذُهُمَا فَيَنْتَعِلُهُمَا وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا وَيَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ ‏

English Translation

Bahz narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, al-Nuʿmān ibn Sālim narrated to us, from a man whose grandfather was Aws ibn Abī Aws: He would be praying and gesture for his sandals while in prayer, then take them and put them on and pray in them, saying: 'The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to pray in his sandals.'
