Arabic Text
قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ جَدُّهُ أَوْسُ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْسٍ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَيُومِئُ إِلَى نَعْلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْخُذُهُمَا فَيَنْتَعِلُهُمَا وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا وَيَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, al-Nuʿmān ibn Sālim narrated to us, from a man whose grandfather was Aws ibn Abī Aws: He would be praying and gesture for his sandals while in prayer, then take them and put them on and pray in them, saying: 'The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to pray in his sandals.'
