قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ عَمِّهَا سَلْمَا

نَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ

English Translation
Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim, from Ḥafṣah, from al-Rabāb, from her uncle Salmān ibn ʿĀmir al-Ḍabbī, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Let him break his fast with dates. If he cannot find [dates], let him break it with water, for it is purifying.'
