قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَ
نْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّهْمَاءِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ لَتُجَاوِزُونَ إِلَى رَهْطٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا كَانُوا أَحْصَى وَلَا أَحْفَظَ لِحَدِيثِهِ مِنِّي وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا بَيْنَ آدَمَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمْرٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ الدَّجَّالِ

English Translation
Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik narrated to us, he said: Ḥammād — meaning Ibn Zayd — narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Ḥumayd ibn Hilāl, from Abū al-Dahmāʾ, from Hishām ibn ʿĀmir who said: You pass by me on your way to a group of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ who were not more retentive or more preserving of his hadith than I. Indeed I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: "From Ādam until the Day of Resurrection, there is no matter greater than the Dajjāl."
