English Translation

Mūsā ibn Dāwūd narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Jābir narrated to us, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Badr, from Ṭalq ibn ʿAlī who said: We came as a delegation to the Prophet ﷺ. When he bade us farewell, he instructed me, so I brought him a water vessel. He sprinkled from it three times, then spat into it, then sealed it and said: "Take this and sprinkle it in the mosque of your people, and command them to raise their heads, for Allāh has elevated them." I said: The land between us and you is far, and it will dry up. He said: "When it dries, add water to it."
