English Translation

ʿAffān narrated to us, Mulāzim ibn ʿAmr al-Suḥaymī narrated to us, my grandfather ʿAbdullāh ibn Badr narrated to us. He said: And Sirāj ibn ʿUqbah narrated to me that Qays ibn Ṭalq narrated to both of them, that his father Ṭalq ibn ʿAlī came to us in Ramaḍān and was with us until evening. He led us in the night prayer in Ramaḍān and prayed witr with us. Then he went down to the mosque of Raymān and prayed with them until witr remained, so he put a man forward to lead them in witr and said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ of Allāh ﷺ say: "There should not be two witr prayers in one night."
