English Translation
Rawḥ narrated to us, he said: Saʿīd narrated to us, and ʿAbd al-Wahhāb said: Saʿīd informed us, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from al-Aswad ibn Sarīʿ, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent a military expedition on the day of Ḥunayn. Rawḥ said: They came upon a clan of the Arabs — and he mentioned the hadith — [the Prophet ﷺ] said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, no soul is born except upon the fiṭrah (natural disposition) until its tongue expresses on its behalf."
