حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَخْبَرَنِي الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ قَالَ فَتَنَخَّعَ فَتَفَلَهُ تَحْتَ نَعْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى قَالَ ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُهُ حَكَّهَا بِنَعْلَيْهِ

English Translation
ʿAlī ibn ʿĀṣim narrated to us, al-Jurayrī informed me, from Abū al-ʿAlāʾ ibn al-Shikhkhīr, from his father who said: I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ praying in his sandals. He said: He expectorated and spat it under his left sandal. He said: Then I saw him rub it with his sandals.
