حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ نَافِع
ِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُحْسِنْ إِلَى جَارِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ

English Translation
Rawḥ ibn ʿUbādah narrated to us, he said: Zakariyyā ibn Isḥāq informed us, he said: ʿAmr ibn Dīnār narrated to us, from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim, from Abū Shurayḥ al-Khuzāʿī — who was a Companion — who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: "Whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him honor his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. His gift is one day and one night, and hospitality is three days. Whatever is beyond that is charity upon him. And whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent."
