English Translation
Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn ʿAbdillāh, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from al-Ṣaʿb ibn Jaththāmah who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed by me while I was at al-Abwāʾ or Waddān. I gifted him meat of a wild donkey while he was in iḥrām. He returned it to me, and when he saw the displeasure on my face, he said: 'It is not that we are rejecting your gift, but we are in a state of iḥrām.'
