حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مُرَّةَ الطَّيِّبِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غُرْفَتِي هَ
ذِهِ حَسِبْتُ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءَ مُخَضْرَمَةٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ وَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from Murrah al-Ṭayyib, who said: A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to me in this room of mine — I think he said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ addressed us, saying: 'Do you know what your Lord said?' They said: 'Allāh and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'He said: Whoever prays the five daily prayers on time, properly completing their ablution, their bowing, their prostration, and their humility — it is a covenant from Allāh that He will forgive him. And whoever does not — there is no covenant for him from Allāh. If He wills, He forgives him; and if He wills, He punishes him.'
