حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزَّع
ْرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَيْدِي ثَلَاثَةٌ فَيَدُ اللَّهِ الْعُلْيَا وَيَدُ الْمُعْطِي الَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَيَدُ السَّائِلِ السُّفْلَى فَأَعْطِ الْفَضْلَ وَلَا تَعْجَزْ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ

English Translation
ʿUbaydah ibn Ḥumayd Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Taymī narrated to us, he said: Abū al-Zaʿrāʾ narrated to us, from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from his father Mālik ibn Naḍlah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Hands are three: the hand of Allāh is the upper (giving) one, the hand of the giver is the next one, and the hand of the beggar is the lower one. So give what is surplus and do not incapacitate yourself.'
