Hadith #203
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ جَاءَنِي عَمِّي مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ يَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيَّ بَعْدَمَا ضُرِبَ الْحِجَابُ قُلْتُ لَا آذَنُ حَتَّى أَسْتَأْذِنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ
مَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِيَلِجْ عَلَيْكِ عَمُّكِ قُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَرْضَعَتْنِي الْمَرْأَةُ وَلَمْ يُرْضِعْنِي الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُوَ عَمُّكِ فَلْيَلِجْ عَلَيْكِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she mentioned the matter to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: 'Let your paternal uncle come in to see you.' She said: 'But it was the woman who nursed me, not the man.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He is your uncle, so let him come in.'
