Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا يَصُمْ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَبُوهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَتَّى دَخَلَا عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ فَكِلْتَاهُمَا قَالَتَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ غَ

يْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ فَانْطَلَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَبُوهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَأَتَيَا مَرْوَانَ فَحَدَّثَاهُ قَالَ عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمَا لَمَّا انْطَلَقْتُمَا إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَحَدَّثْتُمَاهُ فَانْطَلَقَا إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَخْبَرَاهُ قَالَ هُمَا قَالَتَاهُ لَكُمَا قَالَا نَعَمْ قَالَ هُمَا أَعْلَمُ إِنَّمَا أَنْبَأَنِيهِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Abu Bakr and his father Abd al-Rahman went to Marwan and informed him about the matter of a man who had a wet dream and then fasted. Marwan said: 'I order both of you to go to Abu Hurayra and tell him.' They went to Abu Hurayra and told him. He said: 'They both told you. I was only informed of it by al-Fadl ibn Abbas.'
