حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ع

َنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا بَعْدَمَا دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ حَتَّى إِذَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ السُّورَةِ ثَلَاثُونَ أَوْ أَرْبَعُونَ آيَةً قَامَ فَقَرَأَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray sitting in his later years. When thirty or forty verses remained of the surah he was reciting, he would stand and recite them, then bow.'
