English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she saw a spear in the house and asked: 'What is this spear for?' She was told: 'We use it to kill geckos.' She then narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that when Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, every creature tried to extinguish it except the gecko — for it was blowing upon it.
