حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُ
ؤْمِنِينَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يُوتِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةَ بِقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was asked: 'With what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform Witr?' She replied: 'He would recite in the first rak'ah: "Glorify the Name of your Lord Most High" (87); in the second: "Say: O you disbelievers" (109); and in the third: "Say: He is Allah, the One" (112) and the two seeking-refuge surahs.'
