حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ قَالَتْ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ مَا بَالُ الْحَائِضِ تَقْضِي الصَّوْمَ وَلَا تَقْضِي الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَتْ أَحَرُورِيَّةٌ أَنْتِ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ لَسْتُ بِحَرُورِيَّةٍ وَلَكِنِّي أَسْ
أَلُ قَالَتْ قَدْ كَانَ يُصِيبُنَا ذَلِكَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنُؤْمَرُ وَلَا نُؤْمَرُ فَيَأْمُرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّوْمِ وَلَا يَأْمُرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was asked about a woman who misses fasting and prayer due to her menstrual period. She said: 'That used to happen to us in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — we were commanded to make up the fast and were not commanded to make up the prayer.'
