Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ فَدَعَتْ لَهُ بِسَوِيقٍ فَشَرِبَ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَلَا تَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أُحْدِثْ قَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Umm Habiba (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man came to her nephew and she called for thin gruel for him, and he drank it. She said to him: "O nephew, will you not perform ablution?" He said: "I have not done anything to require it." She said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Perform ablution from whatever has been touched by fire.'"
