حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُهْرِىِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ أَوَّلُ مَا اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ فَاشْتَدَّ مَرَضُهُ حَتَّى أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ فَتَشَاوَرَ نِسَاؤُهُ فِي لَدِّهِ فَلَدُّوهُ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ مَا هَذَا فَقُلْنَا هَذَا فِعْلُ نِسَاءٍ جِئْنَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْحَب
َشَةِ وَكَانَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ فِيهِنَّ قَالُوا كُنَّا نَتَّهِمُ فِيكَ ذَاتَ الْجَنْبِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَدَاءٌ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَقْرَفُنِي بِهِ لَا يَبْقَيَنَّ فِي هَذَا الْبَيْتِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا الْتَدَّ إِلَّا عَمُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي الْعَبَّاسَ قَالَ فَلَقَدْ الْتَدَّتْ مَيْمُونَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنَّهَا لَصَائِمَةٌ لِعَزْمَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Asma bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was among those present when the Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, we suspect you have pleurisy." He said: "That is a disease that Allah the Almighty would not afflict me with. Let everyone in this house take the medicine administered by side — except the uncle of the Messenger of Allah," meaning al-Abbas. Maymuna was administered it that day even though she was fasting, due to the command of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
