حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ السَّرَّاجُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَهْرَ بْنَ حَوْشَبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَحْضُرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ فَأَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللّ
َهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةً عَلَيْهَا سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَيَسُرُّكِ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَكِ اللَّهُ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارٍ قَالَتْ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي أَهِيَ نَزَعَتْهُ أَمْ أَنَا نَزَعْتُهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ passed by a woman wearing two gold bracelets and said to her: "Would it please you if Allah were to adorn you with two bracelets of fire?" She removed them. Asma said: "By Allah, I do not know whether she removed them or I removed them."
