حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَ
ا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ فَخِيَارُكُمْ الَّذِينَ إِذَا رُءُوا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشِرَارِكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ فَشِرَارُكُمْ الْمُفْسِدُونَ بَيْنَ الْأَحِبَّةِ الْمَشَّاءُونَ بِالنَّمِيمَةِ الْبَاغُونَ الْبُرَآءَ الْعَنَتَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Shall I not tell you of the best among you?" They said: "Yes." He said: "The best of you are those who, when seen, cause Allah the Almighty to be remembered. Shall I not tell you of the worst among you?" They said: "Yes." He said: "The worst of you are those who corrupt relationships between loved ones, carry tales, and seek harm for those who are innocent."
