حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ خَالَتِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي يَدِهَا سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ قَالَتْ قُلْبَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ لِي أَيَسُرُّكِ أَنْ يُجْعَلَ فِي يَدِكِ سِوَار
َانِ مِنْ نَارٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا يَا خَالَتِي أَمَا تَسْمَعِينَ مَا يَقُولُ قَالَتْ وَمَا يَقُولُ قُلْتُ يَقُولُ أَيَسُرُّكِ أَنْ يُجْعَلَ فِي يَدَيْكِ سِوَارَانِ مِنْ نَارٍ أَوْ قَالَ قُلْبَانِ مِنْ نَارٍ قَالَتْ فَانْتَزَعَتْهُمَا فَرَمَتْ بِهِمَا فَلَمْ أَدْرِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَخَذَهُمَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to her aunt: "Do you not hear what he is saying?" She said: "What is he saying?" She said: "He is saying: 'Would it please you to have two bracelets of fire placed on your hands?' — or she said: 'two shackles of fire.'" So her aunt pulled them off and threw them, and no one knew who took them.
