Hadith #287
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَدَّاحُ عَنْ شَهْرِ
بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ { لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ } وَيْحَكُمْ يَا قُرَيْشُ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَكُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَكُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) from the Prophet ﷺ that he recited: "For the accustomed security of the Quraysh — their accustomed security in the journeys of winter and summer" — then he said: "O Quraysh, worship the Lord of this House who fed you from hunger and made you safe from fear."
