Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ ثَنَا عِيسَى قَالَ ثَنَا ثَوْرٌ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ مَوْلَاةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَفْتِنَا فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَقَالَ أَرْضُ الْمَنْشَرِ وَالْمَحْشَرِ ائْتُوهُ فَصَلُّوا فِيهِ فَإِنَّ صَلَاةً فِيهِ كَأَلْفِ ص

َلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ قَالَتْ أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ لَمْ يُطِقْ أَنْ يَتَحَمَّلَ إِلَيْهِ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُ قَالَ فَلْيُهْدِ إِلَيْهِ زَيْتًا يُسْرَجُ فِيهِ فَإِنَّ مَنْ أَهْدَى لَهُ كَانَ كَمَنْ صَلَّى فِيهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْهَرَوِيُّ قَالَ ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation

It was narrated from a female Companion (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding the virtue of prayer in the mosque of the Prophet ﷺ. She asked: "What about one who cannot travel to it?" He said: "Let him send oil to be used as a lamp in it, for whoever sends oil for it is like one who prays in it."
