حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ حَاجًّا فَجِئْتُ حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَلَمَّا كُنْتُ بَيْنَ السَّارِيَتَيْنِ مَضَيْتُ حَتَّى لَزِقْتُ بِالْحَائِطِ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَصَلَّى إِلَى جَنْبِي فَصَلَّى
أَرْبَعًا فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى هَاهُنَا فَقُلْتُ كَمْ صَلَّى قَالَ عَلَى هَذَا أَجِدُنِي أَلُومُ نَفْسِي إِنِّي مَكَثْتُ مَعَهُ عُمُرًا لَمْ أَسْأَلْهُ كَمْ صَلَّى ثُمَّ حَجَجْتُ مِنْ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِهِ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ أَرْبَعًا

English Translation
It was narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed four rak'ahs inside the Ka'ba. When he finished he said: "I asked Usama ibn Zayd where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had prayed inside the House, and he told me it was here." He said: "I reproach myself — I stayed with him for so long without asking how many rak'ahs he prayed." He came back the following year and stood in the same place. Ibn al-Zubayr came and prayed four rak'ahs in it.
