حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِت

َةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ سَبِّحْ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى

English Translation

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: Three people came to the Prophet ﷺ and one of them said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I had one hundred dinars and i gave ten of them in charity. The next one said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I had ten dinars and I gave one of them in charity. The next one said: I had one dinar and I gave one-tenth of it in charity. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “You are all the same in reward, for each of you gave one tenth of his wealth.”
