حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي وَأَكْثَرُ عِلْمِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُ
رَيْرٍ الْغَافِقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فَانْصَرَفَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ مَاءً فَصَلَّى بِنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ بِكُمْ آنِفًا وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ فَمَنْ أَصَابَهُ مِثْلُ الَّذِي أَصَابَنِي أَوْ وَجَدَ رِزًّا فِي بَطْنِهِ فَلْيَصْنَعْ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعْتُ

English Translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila said: My father used to chat at night with `Ali, and ‘Ali used to wear summer clothes in the winter and winter clothes in the summer. It was said to him: Why don`t you ask him said: `I shall certainly give the banner to a man who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and His Messenger love him, and he is not one to runaway.` The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ hoped for it, but he gave it to me.
