حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ

خَبَّابٍ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَبْعَثَنَّكَ فِيمَا بَعَثَنِي فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُسَوِّيَ كُلَّ قَبْرٍ وَأَنْ أَطْمِسَ كُلَّ صَنَمٍ

English Translation

Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: I was a man who emitted a lot of madhi. I asked the Prophet ﷺ and he said: `Wudoo’ should be done for that.”
