حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَ

English Translation

Ibn Abu Laila narrated from Ibn al-Asbahani from his grandmother, who was a concubine of ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه), that she said: `Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: I was a man who fell asleep easily, and when I had prayed Maghrib and was covered with my garment, I would sleep then - Yahya bin Sa’eed said: I would sleep before `Isha`- I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about that and he granted me a concession.
