حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَيَأْمُرُ بِهِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu `Abdur-Rahman, from `Ali (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever tells a lie about his eyes (i.e., claims to have seen something in his dream that he did not see) will be commanded to tie the two ends of a grain of barley on the Day of Resurrection.”
