حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَطَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا اشْتَرَى ثَوْ
بًا بِثَلَاثَةِ دَرَاهِمَ فَلَمَّا لَبِسَهُ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَزَقَنِي مِنْ الرِّيَاشِ مَا أَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ وَأُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ

English Translation
Abu Hayyah al-Hamdani (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ‘Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) said: Whoever would like to see the wudoo’ of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, let him look at me. He did wudoo’ washing each part three times, then he wiped his head, then he drank the leftover water.
