حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْه
ُ قَالَ لَمَّا نَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بُدْنَهُ نَحَرَ بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثِينَ وَأَمَرَنِي فَنَحَرْتُ سَائِرَهَا وَقَالَ اقْسِمْ لُحُومَهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَجُلُودَهَا وَجِلَالَهَا وَلَا تُعْطِيَنَّ جَازِرًا مِنْهَا شَيْئًا

English Translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: the Prophet ﷺ said to me: “You are like ‘Eesa (in some way); the Jews hated him so much that they made false accusations against his mother, and the Christians loved him so much that they raised him to a status that is not appropriate for him.” Then he said: Two types of men will be doomed because of me: one who loves me and goes to extremes and praises me for that which I do not have, and one who hates me and his hatred of me makes him tell lies against me.
