حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِقَصْعَةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا فَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى ال
لَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجِيءُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَجِّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يَأْكُلُ هَذِهِ الْفَضْلَةَ قَالَ سَعْدٌ وَكُنْتُ تَرَكْتُ أَخِي عُمَيْرًا يَتَوَضَّأُ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ هُوَ عُمَيْرٌ قَالَ فَجَاءَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ فَأَكَلَهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Sa'd (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a large bowl and he ate from it. There was some food left over, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man will come from this mountain pass, from the people of Paradise, who will eat this leftover.' Sa'd said: 'I had left my brother Umayr performing wudu, and I hoped it would be him. Then Abdullah ibn Salam came and ate it.'
