Hadith #45

Arabic Text

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَتْ تَقُولُ كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمُسْلِمِ مَيْتًا كَكَسْرِهِ وَهُوَ حَىٌّ ‏.‏ تَعْنِي فِي الإِثْمِ ‏.‏

English Translation

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say, "Breaking the bone of a muslim when he is dead is like breaking it when he is alive." She meant if done in wrong action
