Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحَرَ بَعْضَ هَدْيِهِ وَنَحَرَ غَيْرُهُ بَعْضَهُ ‏.‏

English Translation

Yahya related to me from Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammad from his father from Ali ibn Abi Talib that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, killed some of his sacrificial animals himself, and someone else killed the rest
