Hadith #5

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏.‏

English Translation

Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cut off the hand of a man who stole a shield whose price was three dirhams
