The Book of Fasting

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَع
ْدٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، وَابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ " أَلاَ لاَ تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ بِيَوْمٍ أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صِيَامًا فَلْيَصُمْهُ " .
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say:"Do not fast one or two days ahead of the month, unless the one who used to observe a regular fast. In that case let him fast
